1. Introduction

Welcome to Yarda AI Landscape Studio ("Yarda," "we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our websites (yarda.pro and yarda.ai), our iOS and Android apps, and our AI-powered landscape design service. The mobile apps display our website inside the app, so this policy covers both in the same way unless a section says otherwise.

This policy is provided in English. Yarda also serves Spanish-speaking customers; if you would like help with this policy in Spanish, contact privacy@yarda.pro.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Email address, name, and basic profile information when you sign in with Google, Sign in with Apple, or a one-time sign-in link sent to your email. Yarda does not use passwords.
  • Property Information: Street addresses and property locations you submit for landscape design generation
  • Photos You Upload: Yard photos, inspiration photos, drone images, and site plan images you choose to add, using your camera or photo library
  • Business Profile: If you are a landscape professional, the business name, logo, and contact details you add for branded proposals
  • Payment Information: On our website, payments are processed by Stripe. In our iOS and Android apps, purchases are made through Apple App Store or Google Play in-app purchase. Card details go directly to Stripe, Apple, or Google; we never receive or store full card numbers. We keep your purchase history and subscription status.
  • Messages and Reports: Messages you send to our support assistant or support team, feedback, and reports you submit about AI-generated results
  • User Preferences: Design preferences, yard area selections, and custom prompts

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, generation history, and interaction patterns
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers
  • Cookies and Local Storage: Authentication tokens, your cookie choices, user preferences, session data, and the visitor cookie described below
  • Product Analytics Events: Our own servers record events such as page visits, sign-ups, addresses entered, and purchases, together with a session ID, an anonymous visitor ID, the page you landed on, and campaign parameters or ad click IDs in the link you followed
  • Analytics and Monitoring Tools: Described in the next section

2.3 Third-Party Data

  • Google Maps API: Geocoded coordinates, Street View imagery, and satellite imagery of properties
  • Google and Apple Sign-In: Email address and basic profile information from your Google or Apple account. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we receive a relay address instead of your email address.

Analytics, Monitoring, and Cookie Choices

When you first visit, we ask which optional cookies you allow. You can change your choice at any time from Cookie Settings in the site footer. The same choice applies inside our mobile apps.

Always on

  • Sentry error reporting: When something breaks, Sentry receives the error, the page address, and browser and device details. Sentry also receives performance timing for a sample of page loads.
  • Product analytics events: The first-party events described above, sent to our own servers.
  • Vercel BotID: Checks whether a free design request looks automated.

Only if you allow performance cookies

  • Google Analytics 4: Page views and usage statistics.
  • Microsoft Clarity: Session recordings and heatmaps of how pages are used. When you are signed in, Clarity receives your Yarda account ID (not your name or email).
  • Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights: Page view counts and page performance measurements.
  • Sentry Session Replay: A recording of page activity for 10% of sessions and for sessions where an error occurs, used to fix bugs. Replays hide all text and form input and block images by default.

Only if you allow marketing cookies

  • Meta Pixel: On our website only, to measure our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. The Meta Pixel is not used inside our mobile apps.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain our AI landscape design generation service
  • Process your payments and manage your subscription or credits
  • Generate landscape designs based on property addresses you provide
  • Authenticate your account and manage user sessions
  • Send service-related notifications (generation completion, payment confirmations)
  • Improve our service through usage analytics and performance monitoring
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Review reports about AI-generated results and act on them
  • Respond to support requests
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

Homeowner Early Access and Free Designs

Yarda offers homeowner early access and, when available, free homeowner design generation. This section explains what those features collect and why.

  • Early access: If you join the homeowner waitlist, we save the email address you provide with Resend so we can send launch updates. The waitlist form does not collect your property address.
  • Free design requests: When you request a free homeowner design, we use the address, Google place ID, coordinates, selected style, and yard preferences you provide to fetch Google Maps, satellite, and Street View imagery and generate your design with Google Gemini.
  • Visitor cookie: We issue a signed, HttpOnly cookie named yarda_vid that lasts up to one year. It helps us remember anonymous free design usage and connect a free design to your account if you later sign in.
  • Abuse prevention: To keep the free design service available, we store usage counts by visitor, address, and a salted hash of IP address. These free-usage records are retained for up to 90 days for abuse prevention and quota enforcement.
  • Bot protection: We use Vercel BotID to help decide whether a generation request looks automated. BotID may use browser, device, request, and network signals for that check.
  • Saved designs: Generated design images, request details, and generation metadata are saved so the result can be shown to you. If you create or sign in to an account, free designs from your anonymous visitor session can be claimed into that account.

AI Photo Processing Disclosure

How we use AI to process your property photos:

  • Image Input: When you provide a property address, we look it up with Google Maps Platform (Places, geocoding) and retrieve satellite imagery, Street View photos, and Photorealistic 3D Tiles of the property and its surroundings.
  • AI Generation: We send the property address, that imagery, any photos you upload, and your design choices to Google's Gemini AI models, which analyze the property and generate the site plan and renderings. The AI identifies property boundaries, existing features, and applies your selected design style. Our support assistant also uses Gemini to answer your messages.
  • No Model Training: Your property photos are NOT used to train our AI models. Images are processed only for your specific design generation request and are not retained for machine learning purposes.
  • Data Retention: Generated designs and the photos you upload are stored (in Vercel Blob storage) and kept in your account history until you delete them or your account. Imagery fetched from Google Maps is cached so repeat requests for the same property are faster; cache entries expire after 30 days.
  • AI results can be wrong: Generated designs are concepts, not surveys or construction plans. Every result has a Report this result link for content that is offensive, inappropriate, or inaccurate. Reports are sent to our team with the result they refer to.

SMS Communications & Opt-In

SMS Data Collection

When you opt in to receive SMS messages from Yarda AI, we collect and process the following information:

  • Phone Number: Your mobile phone number provided during the opt-in process
  • Name and Contact Info: First name, last name, email address, and company name (if provided)
  • Consent Records: Timestamps and records of your consent to receive transactional and/or marketing SMS messages
  • Message Delivery Data: Delivery status, timestamps, and carrier information for messages sent to you

How SMS Opt-In Works

You may opt in to receive SMS messages from Yarda AI by completing the SMS opt-in form on our website. We offer two types of SMS consent:

  • Transactional Messages (Required): Service-related messages such as landscape design previews, partnership updates, account notifications, and appointment reminders.
  • Marketing Messages (Optional): Promotional messages including special offers, new feature announcements, and marketing communications.

How to Opt Out of SMS

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any SMS message you receive from us
  • Contacting us at admin@yarda.pro

Reply HELP to any message for assistance. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Mobile Information Sharing

Your mobile phone number and associated SMS opt-in information will NOT be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile information may only be shared with our SMS service provider (Twilio) solely for the purpose of delivering messages you have consented to receive.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share your information with third-party service providers:

  • Supabase: Database hosting and authentication (Google sign-in, Sign in with Apple, and email sign-in links)
  • Google Cloud: Maps Platform (address search, geocoding, satellite, Street View, and Photorealistic 3D Tiles imagery), Gemini AI (design generation and support assistant), and backup API hosting
  • Stripe: Payment processing and subscription management on our website
  • Apple and Google: In-app purchases and subscriptions in our iOS and Android apps
  • RevenueCat: Manages in-app subscriptions for our mobile apps; receives your Yarda account ID and your in-app purchase history
  • Vercel: Website hosting, file storage (Vercel Blob) for generated images and uploaded photos, Web Analytics, Speed Insights, and BotID
  • Resend: Sending account and service emails (such as receipts and design notifications) and storing the homeowner early access list
  • Sentry: Error reporting, performance monitoring, and (with your consent) session replay
  • Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity: Usage analytics, only with your consent
  • Meta: Advertising measurement through the Meta Pixel, on our website only and only with your consent
  • Railway: Backend API hosting
  • Twilio: SMS message delivery (phone number shared only for delivering opted-in messages)

When you share a design or send a proposal by link, anyone with that link can view the shared design, and a proposal page shows the business details you added.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Internal Access to Your Data

Our authorized personnel may access your account information, generation history, payment records, and associated data for the following purposes:

  • Customer Support: Reviewing your account details to resolve issues you report
  • Fraud Prevention: Investigating suspicious activity to protect you and our service
  • Service Quality: Monitoring generation quality, debugging errors, and improving our AI models
  • Business Analytics: Analyzing aggregated usage patterns to improve our service and pricing
  • Legal Compliance: Responding to lawful requests from law enforcement or regulatory authorities

Access is restricted to personnel who require it for these purposes. We maintain access controls and audit trails to ensure your data is handled responsibly.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data, designs, and uploads: Kept until you delete them or delete your account.
  • Free-usage records: Kept for up to 90 days.
  • Google Maps imagery cache: Entries expire after 30 days.
  • Payment records: Kept for as long as tax, accounting, and anti-fraud laws require. Stripe, Apple, and Google also keep their own records under their privacy policies.
  • Reports about AI results and support messages: Kept while we review and act on them, and deleted with your account.
  • Backups: Deleted data can remain in encrypted database backups until those backups expire on their regular schedule.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself in the app or on our website under Account → Profile → Delete Account, or by emailing privacy@yarda.pro. You can also delete individual designs from My Designs. See how to delete your account for what is deleted and what is kept.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities
  • Withdraw consent for data processing (where applicable)
  • Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)

8. Security

We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, signed authentication tokens, database row-level security, and access controls. We do not store passwords: you sign in with Google, Apple, or a one-time link sent to your email. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using our service, you consent to such transfers.

10. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.

We do not sell your personal information.

EU residents have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Our lawful basis for processing is consent and contract performance.
